The Ruger American AR Pattern rifles
Truly a modern classic of a rifle, designed with the simple and efficient ingenuity to utilize commonly available AR-15 / STANAG pattern magazines for common intermediate calibers, thus increasing it's overall effectiveness and keeping costs low.
When you don't need capacity though and prioritize ergonomics and comfort, the Duramag SS Flush-Fit magazines are a perfect solution for both your Gen 1 and Gen 2 Ruger American Ranch and Predator rifles.
After reading other reviews and contacting dura-mag was able to disassemble the mags with nothing more than an ink pen and reassemble them with the spring in the correct position. Thank god that's all it was because I love the look and feel of these mags. Seems to function fine now and will try them at the range in a couple days. Thanks dura-mag for the fast and friendly customer service.
Was bummed after I bought the Ruger American 350 Legend and realized there wasn’t a flush fit mag. Extended mags are frustrating in the deer stand. Not bummed any longer. Put a few FMJ target loads through it today. Works perfectly.
Received my mags and tried my normal load Hornady 165 gr FTX 350 legend. Put 5 in the mag and it fit my rifle just fine. Tried to chamber a round and the bolt slid over the round leaving chamber empty. Tried again and 2 rounds slid forward jamming the loading port. Took mag out and carefully reloaded it and chambered a round. Tried to cycle the bolt and it lifted just fine but would not go back without a hard smack rearward. Tried both mags several times sometimes could get it to cycle and sometimes not. Having both problems together and separate. Going to work with my gunsmith to diagnose the problems. Stay tuned!
AWSOME fit and finish, should be the stick mag for this rifle!
When only work semi reliably with only 2 rounds loaded, with 4 rounds loaded bolt will not open.
Very excited to get a flush fit mag. But after loading and cycling the gun the last 2 cartridges jam using this mag. Sorry, but it just doesn't work.
Had a feeding issue reached out to Duramag they sent me detailed email and pics how to fix the problem that was caused during the assembly process took less then a minute to disassemble mag and reposition the spring against its holder. Mag now feed fine.
The appearance, quality and fit of this clip are top notch! Unfortunately it will not cycle rounds without jamming. I’ve tried it loaded with one round up to completely loaded with five and everything in between. I cannot find a ‘sweet spot’. Very disappointed for now. Hopefully it’s just this one clip. I’ll contact customer service and go from there. I remain optimistic…
Cartridges would tip up and cause jams during both feeding and extraction.
