I would not have bought the gun with the factory magazine. Thanks for a great product

    Flush mount clip

Posted by Mark Collier on 28th Oct 2026

The clip works great! The factory clip was lose and made noise. Duramag's clip is tighter with less noise. The main reason I like the clip is the profile. The low profile let's me have enough room to bench shoot without having to build a tower of bags to clear the mag. Finally, the Ruger gen 11 has had issues in past with feeding ammo.I wondered if it was due to the clip??.My Ruger had no feed problems with the factory clip and still feeds very smooth.

    Ruger American AR short magazine

Posted by Gregg Gruse on 1st Sep 2026

The short mag for my Ruger Ranch rifle in 556 caliber exceeded my expectations . The quality and is second to none. The mag inserts easily into the mag well and are easily released because of the smoothness of the metal body. I’ve had zero issues. The mag is also quieter which is a plus when hunting . The short mag hold 5 rounds opposed to the 10 round plastic one. The OEM mag makes more noise and restricts hand placement. If you’re looking for flush fit mag look no further you’ve found the right place . These mags work well.
